Classic artisan croissants – completely hand-made on the premises by Rex.   40+ turns of the dough made with specially selected premium French patisserie butter of a low water content, which creates just the right balance between pastry flake & melt-in-the mouth richness – yum!

Product Description

Our croissant dough is mixed, kneaded, cut with the same high quality butter for our viennoiserie as supplied to top Michelin starred restaurants, turned multiple times and then “retarded” for 12-18 hours to ensure the slow development.    Rex croissants are then treble egg-mix washed & baked within 3 hours

They are best eaten on the day of purchase – or wrap in plastic & freeze overnight, defrost still in plastic for 30 minutes before you need them and pop in heated oven for 2 minutes before immediately serving – they taste as if just baked.

    Most croissants in the UK disappoint when they’re not as good as those you bought in France. Not these from Rex, they are as good and better than anything in Normandy, Picardie, Haute Savoie, Bretagne…you get the picture. Add Monmouth coffee for maximum enjoyment.
