Rex Stollen

An East German Christmas cake, our best selling Rex Stollen is packed full of sultanas, mixed peel & walnuts laced with Spiced Rum, and has a generous & delicious Home made marzipan running down the middle.    For those that loved it last year – it’s the same but bigger & better this year!!!

Product Description

Rex Stollen is based on an authentic Dresden recipe.  Our delicious marzipan contains very premium high quality Italian bitter almond extract combined with eggs, butter, sugar, flour to produce a delicate almond tasting marzipan with none of the artificial after flavour you so often find.

After baking in special German stollen tins to improve the shape, we brush our hot stollens with melted butter 3 separate times to help with keeping properties.  We then mix stollen jam with butter and brushthat over the top, & finally top with icing sugar

Rex Stollen is thought to last 40 days – but who could keep one in their home that long?!
