Twice Baked Hazelnut Croissant

A delicacy particular to Rex Bakery – a confection creation that's been described as tasting like an artisan version of Ferrero Rocher! Generous with roasted hazelnuts inside & as topping, they look magnificent, even prehistoric.

Product Description

Essential to Twice Baked Hazelnut Croissants are… pre-baked croissants!  We split these, dip them in sugar syrup then squeeze the syrup out.  We roast Hazelnuts and then crush some and ground others. The ground roasted hazelnuts are then mixed in with a Rex creme paste, which we then spread into the centre and on top of the croissant.  The whole product is then turned upside & dipped into the crushed roasted hazelnuts, baked & then topped with icing sugar ready before ready to eat.  Decadent, delicious & possibly unique to Rex Bakery…

These are the most scrumptious croissants I’ve ever tasted. In my book, they’re perfect: contrasting textures, luscious hazelnut filling, melting pastry, crunchy roasted hazelnuts all over the top! Divine…!

Incredibly naughty but totally luscious. I try to keep my eyes averted from the pastries cabinet when buying bread but it is not easy! Sinful but highly recommended.

The best croissant I have ever had. The pastry is melt in your mouth and the croissant itself is so delicious!
